Guatemala

In 2011 we spent two weeks in Guatemala. Part of trip was spent visiting the community of La Limonada and meeting the child we sponsor. The second part of our trip we went north to Tikal and spent a few days exploring the sites on our own. We tried to go to Belize but only had a day and a half there because a hurricane was threatening to hit. They made us evacuate to the mainland and rather than be stuck in the storm we traveled back to Guatemala. I will make it back to Guatemala someday where I hope to visit the lake next time.
